The distinctive brutalist office building along Avenue des Arts in Brussels, designed by the Polak brothers, is soon to undergo a modern and eco-friendly update. In less than 6 months, the City of Brussels has given the green light to revalorise the iconic building, characterised by its prefabricated concrete facade elements, into an energy-efficient and flexible workspace.
The design results in a highly efficient working environment, paying homage to the legacy of the original designers, culminating in a glass volume that will provide future users with breathtaking views of the city. The office building will eliminate all fossil fuels and is designed to achieve BREEAM Outstanding and Well Platinum certifications.
