First stone for the construction of the new police headquarters in Mouscron was laid

In the presence of Mayor Brigitte Aubert, Chief Commissioner Joseph Jean-Michel and all partners in the project, the symbolic first stone was laid for the construction of the new police headquarters in Mouscron. The new police command post will be located at the heart of the city’s historical centre. The challenge in this project was to architecturally translate the duality of ‘security/privacy’ and ‘openness to the surroundings’. We aimed for an open and transparent building that integrates security requirements in a discreet, almost passive way, by grafting both building implantation and façade, landscape and interior design onto it.
