Children and youth moved in the new buildings of vzw De Korf

Last summer the children and youth moved in the new buildings of vzw De Korf in Kortrijk. In this first phase there’s place for 3 groups, that share communal living areas but also have private rooms. In the second phase a new building for administration, logistics and polyvalent functions is planned.
The design does not reflect the typical character of an institution but merges with it’s surroundings. The innovative approach of youth welfare and child protection is based on customized care, that needs flexibility, space and openness.
