The symbolic first stone of the new Olympic swimming pool in Louvain-la-Neuve was laid

In Louvain-la-Neuve, the symbolic first stone of the new Olympic swimming pool was laid; in the presence of Julie Chantry (Mayor of Louvain-la-Neuve), Alexia Autenne (Director UC Leuven), Vincent Blondel (Rector UC Leuven), Marc Bastin (Walloon Brabant), Minister Valérie Glatigny and Minister Valérie de Bue. It will be a swimming pool for everyone: schoolchildren, students, families and athletes. In doing so, it will also make an important contribution to social interaction and cohesion in the city. The use of renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic panels, heat pumps and rainwater recovery will minimize energy consumption. Mark September 2024 in your calendar and come take a dip in the new Olympic pool. The full team consists of Artes Group, VenhoevenCS architecture+urbanism – B2Ai architects, Sweco, SETESCO, DUSS and Visser & Smit Hanab.
